The Concordia Language Villages, nestled on beautiful lakefront property of Bemidji, Minnesota, is an internationally recognized and respected world language and culture eductaion program founded in 1961. Close to 9,500 kids ages 8 to 18, as well as more than 500 adults and teachers, from all 50 states and 38 countries take part in a Village experience each year.

GBU Youth and Family Members

GBU sponsors two members ages 8 to 18 to attend a one- or two-week summer stay at the German Village of the Concordia Language Villages. GBU will pay the full tuition, which includes lodging, food and instructional materials along with providing $200 to the recipient to be used for out-of-pocket expenses at the village or for travel.

Concordia also has available a week-long German Village Family Camp where the adult(s) can enjoy the camp along with the child (open to ages 4 to 17). GBU will pay for the full one-week stay for the GBU member child and one adult GBU member along with providing each with $200 to be used for out-of-pocket expenses or for travel.

GBU Adult Members

GBU will sponsor two adult members ages 18 or older to attend the German Immersion Adult Program offered at the Concordia Language Villages.

GBU will pay the full registration, which includes lodging, food and instructional materials along with providing $200 to the recipient to be used for travel or out-of-pocket expenses. The participant will be responsible for travel costs and all other out-of-pocket expenses at the Village.

The spring Immersion Adult Program will be held April 18 through April 24, 2010, and has an entry deadline of Monday, March 15, 2010.

The fall Immersion Adult Program will be held
September 26 through October 2, 2010, and has an entry deadline of Tuesday, August 10, 2010.
